Q) Is this a bank debit card?
A) No. The FIS Card is not a bank issued card; it works like an electronic check. When you authorize a purchase, your checking account, FIS Debit Card and PIN are validated by our system. After approval, the purchase amount is withdrawn from your checking account.[back to top]

Q) How does my checking account link to the FIS Debit Card?
A) When you enroll in the program you provide us with your checking account, bank routing numbers along with other information. Our processing system instantly validates and securely connects this information to the card. Once your enrollment is approved your card is ready to use immediately. Q) Are there any fees associated with the FIS Card?
A) There are no enrollment fees, annual fees or finance charges associated with the FIS Card. However, non-sufficient funds (NSF) charges may be assessed if funds are not available in your checking account to cover the purchase amount when the withdrawal occurs. The bank providing your checking account may also assess NSF charges, depending on your account terms. Depending on program you may also lose access to benefits if an FIS Card transaction is returned unpaid for any reason from your bank.[back to top]

Using the card

Q) How do I use the FIS Card?
A) Using the FIS Card is easy. Simply select the Debit option when checking out and swipe your FIS Debit Card, enter your PIN number and you’re done. A simple process just like any other debit card in your wallet.[back to top]

Q) What do I do if my FIS Card does not work?
A) If the merchant is experiencing technical issues the cashier may need to void the transaction and attempt the process again. If your purchase authorization was declined please call us at the number on the back of the card. There are several reasons why a transaction may be declined so our customer service team is here to help you.

The receipt you receive for your purchase is the official record of your transaction. Please compare it to your bank statement to ensure accuracy.

Q) How Long Does It Take For Funds To Clear my Account?
A) The funds for each transaction need to be immediately available in your account.[back to top]

Q) Will I receive a statement to track my spending?
A) You will have access to view your transactions by visiting www.weneedaURL.com and logging into your account. You will not receive a statement. Your purchase receipt and bank statement are your official records for the transaction.[back to top]

Q) Can I cancel my account?
A) Yes, should you choose to close your account call the customer service number printed on your card. A representative will assist you with closing your account.[back to top]

Q) What if my card is lost or stolen?
A) In the event that you have lost your Card or it was stolen, contact us at XXX-XXX-XXXX as soon as you become aware of the loss. We will deactivate the card and replace it with a new one. For security it is always advised that you do not store your PIN with your card. Don’t share your PIN with anyone not authorized to use the card.[back to top]

Q) How do I qualify for a FIS Card?
A) If you'd like to get a FIS Card, you must have a checking account in good standing according to Certegy, an account-verification provider. You can apply for a card in the store and your permanent card will be mailed to you. However, you will have the ability to use your card immediately. Enrollment requires your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, driver's license number, check-routing number, checking account number, social security number, date of birth and acceptance of the program terms and privacy policy.[back to top]
